Employee net promoter scores (the likelihood of an employee recommending their organization as a place to work) are the lowest they’ve been in nearly 4 years and it’s likely due to inflation that has eaten into wage gains as well as back-to-office mandates that have swept the nation.

According to Gallup’s 2023 workplace report, Americans are the unhappiest they’ve been in years. The number of workers who say they are angry, stressed, and/or disengaged has been climbing despite employees receiving higher wages, more time off, and hybrid work environments.

Employee net promoter scores (the likelihood of an employee recommending their organization as a place to work) are the lowest they’ve been in nearly 4 years. It’s likely due to inflation that has eaten into wage gains as well as back-to-office mandates that have swept the nation. The benefits that employees were given were only realized for an extremely short period of time, nearly halfway through 2020, the when employee  net promoter scores soared to nearly 45%. As of right now, the average employee net promoter score sits just below 37%, please see below.
