Weekly U.S. natural gas inventories are still well above their rolling 5-year average in 2024. The most recent surge in inventories has pushed natural gas levels to approx. +16% above their rolling 5-year average, this percentage above the average was last witnessed in the spring of 2023.
As a result, prices have fallen -30.73% in 2024 and it’s uncertain whether or not prices will rebound anytime soon. Without a doubt, it appears that the mild winter and electric revolution is having an impact on gas inventories and prices.
